The PPMC Story

In 2011, Premier Physicians Management Company was founded on a simple vision…to help improve the quality of the California Workers’ Compensation claims process for all parties involved. Our approach was to focus on providing support and administrative services to Qualified Medical Examiners, so that they could allocate more of their time and effort to examining injured workers; thereby, reducing delays in submitting required paperwork to the DWC, streamlining the process of organizing and obtaining records and forms from insurance carriers and other state entities, efficient scheduling of evaluations, and better overall compliance with state regulations.

Our philosophy is that by helping to organize the administrative workflow of QME providers, claims will resolve sooner, injured workers will receive treatment in a timely manner, and providers will be better prepared for evaluations.

We began with managing the administrative services of one Qualified Medical Examiner in 2011, and by positive referrals from provider-to-provider we quickly grew to servicing five providers, then ten, and now we are proud to work with more than 80 providers who represent more than 40 different specialties. However, although we have expanded and grown significantly since 2011, our focus remains on quality rather than quantity. We value and appreciate the quality of each and every relationship that we have built with our providers, clients, and vendors over the years, and it is that quality which makes us the Premier Physicians Management Company.
